BACKYARD CONSERVATION
The Shelby County Soil and Water
Conservation District applied for a Clean Water Indiana Sediment and Nutrient
grant in 2008 and was granted $10,000.00 in January 2009. If you are
interested in Backyard Conservation by installing best management practices,
then we may have cost-share funding available to you!
Just a few of the cost-share opportunities include: Soil
Sampling, Tree Planting, Composting Kits, Rain barrels, Buffers, Rain Gardens,
Nutrient and pest management, Wildlife Habitat Enhancement.
